Grievance Redressal Mechanism

Legal Fox India is committed to resolving any grievances, complaints, or concerns regarding the content published on our platform or the services provided by us. As a responsible technology intermediary, we adhere strictly to the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

1. LEGAL MANDATE

In accordance with the IT Act, 2000 and the Rules made thereunder, we have appointed a dedicated Grievance Officer to address concerns regarding:

  • Copyright or Intellectual Property infringement.
  • Violation of privacy or impersonation.
  • Content that is obscene, defamatory, or legally prohibited.
  • Service deficiencies or data security concerns.

3. PROCESS FOR FILING A COMPLAINT

To ensure your complaint is processed efficiently, please send an email to the address above with the following mandatory details:

  • Subject Line: Must contain "Complaint: [Nature of Issue]".
  • Identification: Your full name, address, and contact number.
  • Specific URL(s): The exact link(s) to the content you are reporting. Vague descriptions like "content on your site" will be rejected.
  • Description: A clear explanation of why the content is a violation of the law or your rights.
  • Evidence: Supporting documents (e.g., Copyright Registration, Court Order, Identity Proof).

4. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & TIMELINES

We are committed to the following statutory timelines for grievance handling:

  • Acknowledgement: Within 24 hours of receiving the complaint.
  • Resolution/Disposal: Within 15 days from the date of receipt.

Note: If the complaint involves content depicting child sexual abuse or non-consensual sexual imagery, we endeavor to take action within 24 hours of reporting.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & TAKEDOWNS

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

Warning: Making false or malicious complaints regarding content may result in legal liability for damages.

6. FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES (NODAL OFFICER)

This section is strictly for use by Police, Cyber Cells, Courts, and Government Agencies for sending official requisitions (Section 91 CrPC notices, Takedown Orders).
